ORGANIZATIONs WE LOVE

We LOVE the South Side! And we LOVE those that love and serve the South Side!  The following organizations are some that we have been thrilled to link arms with and serve along side and/or cheer on, as they 'do their thing' serving the special needs group they're tuned into.  Check them out, and find ways to serve along with or cheer them on yourself!! 

  • YSB assists runaway and homeless teens with temporary housing, counseling and support services, “because all youth deserve SAFETY and STABILITY”


  • REAL Services is an umbrella organization for more than 20 programs that assist elderly, disabled and low-income individuals, addressing the needs of education, nutrition, self-sufficiency, and protection.


  • “A special place for special people,” Camp Millhouse inspires self-discovery in individuals with special needs through a safe, traditional camp experience.


  • Southside Little League provides a safe and fun filled summer for close to 400 area children and their families. SSLL is run entirely by volunteers and relies each year on registrations, fundraising events, donations and sponsors.


  • LOGAN supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they, and their families, may achieve their desired quality of life. LOGAN has two group homes located here on the southside. 


  • Broadway Christian Outreach Ministries include a food pantry, hospitality room, the Jubilee Christmas Store, Sunday dinners, and a Shower Ministry, all serving the impoverished, homeless, elderly, and lonely populations on the southside.  


  • Fairington Apartments is an affordable community on the south side of South Bend, Indiana offering one bedroom apartments to people 55 years of age or older or for persons with disabilities.


  • “Pride of the Southside!” Riley High School serves 1200 students, grades 9-12.  Shawn Henderson: Principal


  • "Quality Learning for Every Student, Every Day!" Jackson Middle School serves 652 students, grades 6-8th. Tiana Batiste-Waddell: Principal


     

  • Monroe Primary is right down the street from Living Stones, and we have enjoyed for well over a decade supporting the awesome work they do to serve our neighborhood kids!! Monroe Primary serves 441 students, grades K-5.  Jennie Mast: Principal
